An earth friendly bed and breakfast situated on an east facing twenty acre Williamsburg, MA hillside. The 1790 farmhouse is framed by organic rambling gardens with walking paths. There are two very private suites with queen beds, private baths, kitchens and sitting rooms, and one downstairs suite with fireplaces. There is also an artist/writing studio with a full bed, old fashion claw foot bathtub, W.C., hard wood floors, east facing wall of glass, air conditioning (this is the only room that needs it), and kitchenette. The artist studio is $125 a night for Patchwork writers. The two main suites are $135 per night with a 10 dollar discount for Patchwork writers. They offer a complimentary certified organic vegetarian/vegan breakfast. Flower Hill Farm is a 10 minute drive from Patchwork Farm, and 15 minute drive from Northampton.

     
  Wellspring House - 413-628-3276; Ann and Preston Browning

Wellspring House is a retreat center for writers and artists in Ashfield, about a half hour's drive from Patchwork Farm. They can occasionally put up a participant in a weekend workshop for $35 a night. They are not a bed and breakfast place, but do have coffee and tea available in the kitchen for residents. They have more space in the spring and fall as they are usually booked solid in the summer months.

The 1886 House is an authentic New England country farmhouse situated on 5 acres at the top of a high ridgeline in historic Chesterfield, just off scenic Route 9 & 143.  Chesterfield is located in the foothills of the Berkshire’s in the Pioneer Valley.  Their B&B is small and intimate (3 guest rooms, 2 with private baths) and is just 2 miles from Patcwork Farm. They serve a hearty breakfast each morning in the dining room and include many fresh locally produced items such as eggs, bread and milk. Enjoy coffee or tea on the back porch with its views of fields and woods. They offer our group a 10% discount off their normal rates and for stays of more than 3 days offer a greater discount. They are members of the Five College Area B&B Assoc and also the Hampshire Hills B&B Assoc.
